Apple Turkey Melt
Ingredients
- 2 slices sourdough bread (small slice, about size of hand)
- 3 oz deli turkey (I use Applegate brand)
- 1 slice swiss cheese (option to use white cheddar)
- 1 tbsp mayo (light, optional)
- 1 tbsp dijon mustard
- ¼ gala apple (sliced thin)
- ½ tbsp honey
Instructions
- Spread 1 tbsp of mayo on one slice of bread and 1 tbsp of dijon mustard on the other. Layer with turkey, cheese, and apple, then drizzle honey on top of the apple slices.
- Heat a nonstick pan to medium heat. Once hot, add 1 tsp olive oil and 1/2 tbsp of butter. Swirl around pan, then add the sandwich and toast for 1-2 minutes on each side or until bread is golden brown.
- Let sandwich cool for 1 minute then slice in half.

I love making this sandwich 🥪 😋 instead of honey I would use pepper jelly or jalapeño pepper jelly 😋
