Hot Honey Salmon Bowl
Ingredients
- 1 lb salmon (skinless)
- 1 cup cooked rice (about 1/3 cup in ea. bowl)
- 12 oz. green beans
- 2 tsp avocado oil
- salt (to taste)
- pepper (to taste)
Hot Honey Mixture
- ¼ cup honey
- 1 tsp hot sauce (add more or less depending on the spice)
Instructions
- Cook rice and keep warm (I wash my rice, then add to a pot of salted water with 2 crushed garlic cloves and thyme). Set aside.
- Bring a pot of water to a rapid boil, salt the water (like the sea), add green beans (I bind them so they are floating all over the place, but you don’t have to). Blanch for exactly 2 minutes and 30 seconds. Remove and add to ice bath for 15 seconds.
- Skin and cube salmon, lightly salt and pepper.
- Heat a non-stick skillet over medium-high heat with 1 tsp of avocado oil, add salmon. Sear for 2-3 minutes, then flip. Add hot honey mixture after 1-2 minutes. Once foamy, begin to baste your salmon.
- In a bowl add rice, green beans, and top with salmon.

Made this for my husband and he loves it, made with quinoa instead of rice. So good.
